Award-winning Producer, Composer, Recording and Mixing Engineer Tyson Kuteyi joins Tattoo Sound + Music's director roster. From K'naan to Ginuwine to Nelly Furtado, Kuteyi's mad mixing skills have kept him at the front of the soundboard for a plethora of North America's finest musical talent, as well as being the ad industry's right hand man for session compositions and mixes. They say there are only seven basic plot lines in the realm of storytelling, and every movie we see, book we hear or story re-told is a variation of these seven prime plots. This has always posed an interesting predicament for screenwriters and filmmakers - how do you make something original when it's been done 300 times before?

Cue RBC's campaign for TIFF 2010. Copywriter Chris Joakim and Art Director Mike Donaghey of BBDO Toronto took three basic & overdone plotlines, twisting them into a hilarity of re-telling goodness. Encouraging the creative innovation of the works in TIFF, the campaign is based on seeing something absolutely original. Music & sound design by Tattoo Sound + Music.

The Hogtown Project is a brand new coffee table book about Toronto from Writer Nadine Dolly and photographer Kristie Macor, childhood buds who wanted to make a homage of the city from a residential perspective.

“Most coffee-table books for Torontonians are made for tourists, and usually have spots in the city that we would never go anymore, like the CN Tower. So we thought we should create one that speaks to Torontonians," says Dolly in an interview with the Toronto Star.

The girls spent 3 years, $20,000, and hours of remarkable memories travelling in and out of 180 Toronto locales.

I went to see Dance Yourself To Death and Gentleman Reg last night at The Drake. And sandwiched in between these two acts was a cover band that for sure holds the title for best name ever...SHEEZER. An all girl Toronto based Weezer cover band.

I really suggest you check them out if you ever have a chance. AND BUY THE BUTTON!!

Patrick Leung Dark Matters ‘NGA4′ Resin Characters

Here we have the tooth-shaped ‘NGA4′ resin figure designed by Paddy Leung of Dark Matters. Based in Toronto, Dark Matters is a designer toy collective founded with the intention of putting Toronto on the toy map. Standing at just under 3-inches tall, the NGA4 is hand-cast in polyurethane resin and then hand-painted by Leung. Each of the 30 figures features a laser-cut number that denotes its place in the series.
