Dentsu London: Canon

The kids at Dentsu London just launch a campaign for Canon's PIXMA colour printer range with the work of biochemist/photographer Linden Gledhill.
The video features paint captured with macro lenses that have been brought to life by the use of soundwaves. Balloons were stretched over speakers to create a surface that would allow the paint to move with the soundwave. A single sharp note was played causing the paint to bounce for a fraction of a second. After this is slowed down they ad the beautiful results seen in the video below:

TA2:: Audi Quattro Magnet Cars
Check out Tattoo's latest original composition for Audi Quattro Magnet Cars. From Agency Lowe Roche: "The legendary Audi quattro all-wheel drive system sticks to the road like nothing else. Super-powerful rare-earth magnets were attached to miniature models of Audi vehicles, which were then stuck on metal surfaces in the midst of the crowds attending the Toronto International Film Festival. After people have struggled to pry the cars free, they see a message on the bottom of the car: 'Nothing sticks like quattro.'"

TA2:: TIFF
They say there are only seven basic plot lines in the realm of storytelling, and every movie we see, book we hear or story re-told is a variation of these seven prime plots. This has always posed an interesting predicament for screenwriters and filmmakers - how do you make something original when it's been done 300 times before?
Cue RBC's campaign for TIFF 2010. Copywriter Chris Joakim and Art Director Mike Donaghey of BBDO Toronto took three basic & overdone plotlines, twisting them into a hilarity of re-telling goodness. Encouraging the creative innovation of the works in TIFF, the campaign is based on seeing something absolutely original. Music & sound design by Tattoo Sound + Music.

In The Studio with Steve Gadsden: Michael Kulas

Michael Kulas, former lead singer of UK band James, will be coming through the studio in the next couple weeks recording his new solo work with Tattoo's mastermind Steve Gadsden. Everyone is looking forward to what magic this collaboration will bring.
Music: Reporter

Reporter are a three piece from Portland, Oregon doing what I am really happy to describe as Goth Disco. I'm sure comparisons can easily be drawn from Crystal Castles latest album. But these guys don't seem like they'd spit in your face...and I like that.

It's Friday. You need to listen to something to get you excited for the weekend. I stumbled across Light Year this morning. Of course, another amazing electronic act from Australia. Their bio says that Tiga drops this track sometimes, and I am no way surprised. Please check out Sex Education.
They've also got a mix that you can download here, featuring the following:
