VOTE FOR GAY FOR ADVERTISING!

We're all Gay for Advertising, and now it's time to show it. Straight from the desk of Brendan Watson, ADE [Art Director Extraordinare] is this call to voting action. Gay for Advertising is in the running to win the Best Promo Vid for this year's PN8. It's time to start exercising your clicky clicks to support the home crowd:
Alright team – this is a call to arms. Voting on the best Portfolio Night Promo video has begun and we need your help. Right now it’s a tight race between Toronto and Philadelphia and I’ll be damned if I let those cheese-steak eaters beat us.
We all worked way too hard on this to take anything other than first place. Please visit the link below and vote. And then vote again. And then send it to your friends. And then vote again. Tweet. Facebook. Do whatever you need to do.

TA2 is Gay for Advertising
Tattoo is coming out. We too are Gay for Advertising.
Tattoo had the pleasure of doing the music and sound design for this hilarious promo vid for Portfolio Night 8 Toronto. Written by Y&R interns Jordan Cohen and Mishelle Menzies [who will be showing their books at Toronto's PN8 on Thursday, May 20th], we could not be happier for their success on this vid - congrats guys!
We'll be waiting for the chicken outfit to appear at La Senza.

Nachos In Toronto

Possibly the most important post I will ever do. BlogTO has an article highlighting where you can find the best nachos in the city. After reviewing the list I've discovered I've only had 30% of the nachos on the list. I'm going to be VERY busy the next couple of days.
Click here to read the entire list. Prepare to drool.
Photography:: Young Hearts

L-o-v-i-n-g the photography site Young Hearts. Photographers Alex Lee and Cheryl Mackey are out to capture engagements, weddings, and just plain good ole fashioned love stories. These aren't your typical couple shots however - Young Hearts takes the shoots onto the streets and into the parks to produce timeless, natural, caught-in-the-moment photos that make every couple look like rock stars.

Bear in Heaven vs. Baggage Claim
Via Bear in Heaven: On April 18, 2010, Bear in Heaven was stranded in the Madrid airport. The "Dust Cloud" from volcano Eyjafjallajokull sent us to baggage claim... instead of Majorca. Out of pure and unbreakable boredom we put a camera on a baggage claim belt. Two hours later we got our instruments out of baggage jail and travelled 54 hours to London. Enjoy.

Mark Pernice's face distortion mask

Words from Mark's website : Using Apple's Photo Booth application as inspiration, the idea was to take the 2D image that it manipulated and create a tangible face in a real environment, then in turn bring it back into a 2D image. Using Photo Booth on the mask itself may create some sort of paradoxal shift where I cease to exist.

Gig:: Dana Jean Phoenix

Watch out for this one, if you haven't already spotted DANA JEAN PHOENIX. The First Lady of NuFunk, Phoenix has shared the stage with a plethron of amazing talents, including Jully Black, Natasha Bedingfield, Fergie, and one of Tattoo's faves, God Made Me Funky. To celebrate the release of her EP "Learning To Fight" [and just to celebrate music in general], Phoenix will be performing live at Bar Italia this Saturday, April 24th... NO COVER! With her fresh and funky upbeat music style, we quite frankly can't wait.
