Not sure why this video is just being made. But this kid deserves an oscar (and will probably need extensive therapy) and the animation at the end is amazing as well.

Louis Vuitton will soon be releasing a book, giving you a detailed look into the various collaborative projects that the brand has been involved in. Louis Vuitton: Art, Fashion And Architecture will also come in limited edition Takashi Murakami version.
“Louis Vuitton: Art, Fashion and Architecture offers, for the first time in the luxury brand’s history, a critical selection of the creative exchanges forged between Louis Vuitton and a growing number of designers from the worlds of art, architecture, design, photography and fashion. This richly illustrated anthology is supplemented by critical essays that analyse and shed new light on Louis Vuitton’s commitment during one of the most fertile periods of contemporary creation. Written by international critics from the world of art, fashion and architecture, this work, stretching over 400 pages and illustrated with 400 colour documents, will be released in three languages – French, English and Italian – and will be available in bookshops, published respectively by de La Martinière, Rizzoli NY and Rizzoli Italia.

A deluxe edition exclusively designed for Louis Vuitton by Takashi Murakami will be for sale in Louis Vuitton stores and on www.louisvuitton.com from September 1st 2009.”

Listen: Julie Doiron

Whenever anyone mentions "female vocalist" and "Canadian" in the same sentence, most likely the F word is used...
Ahhh Feist. We all got sucked in to Let It Die.
Crooning her way through Feists and falsettos, Julie Doiron is a new found fave. The New Brunswick native is touring her way across Canada and the States this summer - try to catch a gig if you can. Gig lists can be viewed here.

Earth 2100: Civilization at Crossroads

It's a rarity to actually see a program nowadays and be stunned by both the context and the aesthetic quality of the production. [Except for The Hills. That gets me everytime.] Earth 2100 is a 2 hour documentary that aired on ABC last night. Examining climate control, it poses the question if this is the last century for civilization as we know it.
Says Alexa Daner, a writer for ABC News, "In order to plan for the worst, we must anticipate it." Following this thought process, a sub plot of Earth 2100 is narrated by Lucy, a fictional character who was "born" on the evening of June 2, 2009. Earth 2100 follows Lucy through her life span based on predictions and imagined environmental catastrophes from real life scientists, environmentalists, and anthropologists.
Apart from the program being incredibly poignant, it's beautifully executed. Lucy's sub plot is animated in such a way that it would make all your Graphic Novels get together and weep with envy.
If you missed this program on ABC last night, fear not. Watch it here:

WANT: Original Fake 4 Feet Dissected Companion

I think we need one of these for the TA2 offices.
Via High Snobiety:
The new Original Fake 4 Feet Dissected Companion by Kaws is coming out soon. The oversized toy is made for the 3rd anniversary of the clothing brand, a joint venture between artist Kaws and Medicom Toy. Some privileged among us already seem to have gotten their toy and therefore we can give you a more detailed look.
Music: Mille
I can't say that I know too much about Mille. Except that he is from Stockholm and making some synth heavy chiptune electronic music. Oh, and that his logo is really intimidating.

"The area that I've been spending time in has multiple abandon buildings, which are amazing. Unfortunately it also has a ton of trash scattered between the buildings. I decided to clean up the area by dragging all the junk into one location and making something out of it. With a little help I pulled four beds, six tires, and a large amount of scrap into one consolidated area... The trash that was scattered everywhere, was transformed into one giant character who found a great place to relax."

List: 100 Most Creative People In Business

HP has put together a list of the 100 Most Creative People in Business. Featuring artists Damien Hirst and KAWS in their list of people from varying industries.
I was really happy to see Music Supervisor Alex Patsavas make the list at number 29. She's been picking music for show's like Grey's Anatomy, The OC and movies like Twilight. Now she's been given her own record label to keep doin' what she do. She's brought the music supervision game to a 'celebrity' level. I was at a conference where she was on a panel a couple years ago, and they had to get security to manage the crowds wanting to hand her their music after she was done speaking. Seriously.

Artist: ION
ION (real name: Are Mokkelbost) is the mastermind behind these surreal collages. And yes, they ARE collages. NO! not photoshopped! Just a lot of time with scissors and glue. This kind of handy work is what is missing in our digital age. True talent. These pieces took over three years to produce.

You can check out more of IONS pieces here.
