Music Video: Scott Matthew "Amputee"

I like this cute video. It kinda reminds me of PaRappa the Rapper. The 4 legged octopus is my favorite.

Music: White Hinderland

White Hinterland are a 2 piece from Portland, Oregon. I listened to their track "Dreaming of Plum Trees" sometime last year, but today the game really changed when I heard their track "Icarus". This is something REALLY great. They'll be playing the Drake on April 18, 2010.

Swedish Death House

Here's some dark minimalist techno from Swedish duo Dmitry Fyodorov. I'd really suggest you hold off on watching the video if you're hung over (I tell you this from experience).

Dmitry Fyodorov – once a successful attack player in HC CSKA Moscow that mysteriously disappeared after an accident on the ice. Now, nearly 30 years later, his soul has returned in the form of dark, distorted house music to bring havoc to dance floors across the globe.

I went to see Dance Yourself To Death and Gentleman Reg last night at The Drake. And sandwiched in between these two acts was a cover band that for sure holds the title for best name ever...SHEEZER. An all girl Toronto based Weezer cover band.

I really suggest you check them out if you ever have a chance. AND BUY THE BUTTON!!

Mental Health meets Wonderland: clinic

Japanese architecture firm Nendo was commissioned to design an unconventional space for a mental health clinic in Akasaka, Tokyo.

From Nendo: "Rather than getting patients back to a 'zero', a neutral starting place, the traditional model for mental health care, the clinic aims to provide patients with something extra: a further richness in their daily lives that they did not have before starting treatment.

"The interior design is an attempt to express this philosophy in space. The 'doors' that line the walls of the clinic do not open, and 'ordinary' parts of the walls open up into new spaces. The consultation rooms are entered by sliding the bookshelves sideways. The door at the end of the hallway opens onto a window; the amount of light in the hallway is controlled by opening and closing the door."

Research Hell

Ad metal legends Burn Back are back, baby! They destroyed the ad world with their smash hit Make The Logo Bigger. Now they're at it again with their latest comeback single, Research Hell!

Produced and recorded here at TA2 Studios, our own Dan "Virgin Slayer" Horton and Drew "The Well Hungarian" Frohmann spawned this new beast with the help of truly satanic riffage and screamage by metal demi-god Craig Peeling of Peeler. While the scum at Amoebacorp designed the awesomely evil front & back cover.

If this single proves successful, Burn Back hopes to finally complete their long-awaited comeback album, Diary Of An Adman. Stay tuned!

Online Fridge Magnets: Diesel

Very few things can follow the excitement of the back to back Valentine's Day / Family Day weekend, but has managed to do it. Their main page has been transformed into a gigantic version of refrigerator word magnets as part of the Diesel Be Stupid campaign.

Happy Tuesdays, and be sure to waste some time today. To do so, click here.

Control the CN Tower... with your mind!

Yet another feature at the Ontario House in Vancouver is a pavillion where you can control the lights of the CN Tower... with your mind. Other featured Canadian wonders are the Houses of Parliament in Ottawa and Niagara Falls!

FML. I still don't know how to use an iPhone App.
